So I haven't posted awhile, so I decided to just give an update on my life lately. About a week ago I met David Archuleta the guy that came in 2nd place on American Idol's 7th season. Here's what I wrote in my journal:
Today was an amazing day. I got to meet David Archuleta the singer from American Idol. There was a fireside where he spoke and sang at and he is an amazing person. He really conducted himself well, and he was really funny and fun in front of an audience. When he sang the entire audience was quiet, and the spirit was extremely strong. Not one noise from another mouth was made while he was singing. Everyone was still and you could tell that everyone loved him, and it was just an awesome experience. After the fireside he let everyone come into a room with him and take a picture with him. And so I did! I remember him talking about how even though he is famous he still keeps his standards and finds time to read the scriptures everyday. He is just a great example to everyone. Haha and he compared girls to pizza, about all the different types of pizza and how he has never had a girlfriend. He was just a great speaker, but anyways so back to after I took a picture with him. I rested my arm on his shoulder and shook his hand, looked into his eyes and told him “Thanks for being a great example.” And he looked back and me and said, “No thank you.” It was just really cool; he seemed like a really cool and just chill kid. Oh and Brea and Jodi came with me and we had a blast, it was just really amazing. When I become famous I hope I can have the same attitude as that famous 18 year old, and remember to always worship the Lord with the things that I have, and to put him first, and live his standards.
It was a cool experience, and most of you have probably already heard my story of me talking to him, but I still had to post it :D

walmart honesty
It was 11:30 on a Saturday night and I had to buy some treats for a BBQ the next day, so I set out on my task, rushed, because I had to beat the midnight madness at Walmart (I can't buy anything on a Sunday of course!). I hopped in my convertible and speedily pulled out of the garage, and peeled out(super cool by the way) as I cruised down the street. I turned on the radio, and twisted the volume knob to the max.
Just like always, I nailed every green light, and I arrived at Walmart in a record time. I quickly rushed out of my car, and speedily walked towards the entrance. I entered the familiar place, and was greeted by an elderly person. I kept my response to just a "Hello," because if you give them any chance to talk, they will easily chat with you until your ears become numb. I galloped through the store in search of my items. I checked my watch, 11:47, this was crunch time!
In what seemed like hours walking down the mile long isles in search, I finally found my last item, and took off towards the cash register. Just to my luck, the only open cash registers were on the completely opposite side of the giant store. But wait! A lady with a cart filled completely to the top with food was 10 paces in front of me heading towards the checkout register. After seeing this I immediately raced her to the open register and put my buns on the black rotating belt. (hot dog, and hamburger buns you sicko!) I checked my watch again in fear that it would be past 12, but I was comforted when my watch read 11:57. "Yes! I'm going to make it," I mumbled under my breath, "Only a professional like me could have pulled this one off!"
After all the excitement, I hadn't even noticed the really cute lady that was being checked out before me. She had long brown hair, and beautiful dark brown eyes. "What kind of personality does she have?" I wondered to myself as I was waiting for my turn to checkout. The Walmart worker scanned the last of her items and put them in the typical plastic bags.
And then something unexpected happened that really made me think. The cute lady pulled two Ziploc plastic containers connected to each other out of a plastic Walmart bags and told the cashier, "Excuse me, but I think you might have only scanned one of my containers, one of the containers is inside of the other."
"Wow, such honesty," I thought to myself. The beautiful lady didn't even hesitate at all, as if she knew that the cashier was going to accidentally not scan one of her containers. It was just a simple little 4-dollar container, and the lady could have easily just stolen it and went on with her life.
But no! She went out of her way to make sure that she was being honest and paying for everything that she was getting. She taught me that people in these days still do have the character traits that I strive to develop, and the character traits that I look for in other people. She also taught me that even very good-looking women like herself have self-dignity, and I shouldn't settle for anything less in my friends, relationships, and family. It was a small and simple act of honesty that pierced my heart in a big way.

Then I started to think to myself, if I was her what would I have honestly done?
